Which is greater for you?
The desire to succeed or the desire to fail.
Most people either pursue their dreams or put a hold on them because of one of these desires is greater than the other.
Obstacles we face are here to test our character not to stop us.
Michael Jordan once said, “I’ve missed more than 9,000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. Twenty-six times, I’ve been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.”
For most people, public failure becomes public humiliation and that leads most to retreat.
If nobody was watching and you failed, you probably wouldn’t take it to heart too much.
However too many people live their lives in a bubble, being in fear of what other people think so they never take the first step.
But imagine if YOU did.
Your courage to act is SO much more powerful than someone who is not an action taker and a criticizer.
Many people would see Michael Jordan’s first part of his career as a failure but he calls it preparation.
If he quitted when he failed then he wouldn’t have been able to enter the phase 2 of his career to become the most successful basketball player of all time.
The moral of the story is that there’s no such thing as failure.
If you gave it your all, learned something from the experience then you SUCCEEDED.
The past does not represent your future.
The only thing that keeps us from getting what we want is the story that we tell ourselves about why we can’t have it.
